An exciting new Head of Cancer Services position has been developed to help lead the direction of Cancer Services within the Trust and also to support the delivery of the 5 year Integrated Cancer Strategy. This role is responsible for advising the Trust to ensure compliance with the national requirements and frameworks.
Ensuring the successful delivery of the annual National Cancer Quality Surveillance Programme, working in partnership with the Trust Lead Cancer Clinician is an integral aspect of this role.
Main duties of the job
The Head of Cancer Services is the managerial focal point for all cancer related aspects across the Trust and will plan, co-ordinate, manage and develop all aspects of Cancer Services for the Trust in accordance with local and national directives. This will include working closely and supporting responsible Divisions/Teams in the delivery of the cancer access and quality targets.

Working for your organisation
Cancer Services provide a Corporate function within the Trust, working will all the Divisions and Senior Operational, Managerial and Clinical Leads in the delivery of cancer pathways in line with the Cancer Waiting Times Standards. Cancer Services is responsible for delivering both local and nationally mandated requirements and for driving improvements to improve patient experience.
