We're pleased to invite you along to our Open Day on Thursday 2nd February, at the Shropshire Education Conference Centre (SECC) which is on the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital site (please refer to map attached).
Meet the team, have your questions answered, find out more about the role and discover what being a Healthcare Assistant is all about!
On the day you can expect:
- Presentations throughout the day from existing team members
- Meet and greet with Ward Managers
- Q&A session with the teams
- Information about training and development opportunities
- Tour of the hospital (optional)

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide support and assist Registered Nurses delivering all aspects of health care directly to patients, within defined levels of competence and practice. This will include assisting in maintaining a suitable environment in which to deliver that care.

Due to recent expansion, Medicine Wards at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital are looking to recruit Healthcare Assistants to join their teams.
We are looking for caring individuals who demonstrates our Trust values to join our experienced Nurses and HCAs to provide excellent care to our patients.
You will be fully supported in your new role, with a 2-week academy training period when you start, followed by a supernumerary induction and HCA Buddy scheme. There are also plenty of opportunities for further training and development including access to the Trainee Nurse Associate (TNA) programme.
