Job overview

The post holder will provide administrative and HR services to the Medical Rota Department working as part of the Medicine Management Team.

Induction Training to be given in the Department with guidance, training and supervision as necessary to develop the skills and knowledge needed to undertake the role. During the National Apprenticeship Service training, support and guidance will also be provided to achieve the Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship.

The base for this post is at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford but the post holder will be required to work cross site at both The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. 

* Can be any age post full-time education (16+)
* Cannot already be on an Apprenticeship or any Government funded training,
* Cannot have a qualification at the same or higher level in the same vocational area. There needs to be significant new learning.
* Has been a UK resident for 3 or more years.

Main duties of the job

With the Rota Co-ordinator, establish and maintain effective administrative systems and processes between Medical Staffing, HR, and Payroll. Manage frequent change within these systems and update the Medicine Division Management Team and relevant Consultants on progress of the systems and processes.

Develop and maintain a system to ensure all staff within Medicine Medical workforce are compliant with both Statutory and Mandatory training, ensuring the Trust Compliance reports reflect the current status.

Manage systems for reporting sickness and absence and liaise with teams to identify the impact of the absence upon the department, to then liaise with Medical Staffing to ensure agency requests are sent.

To travel between sites to establish and maintain good working relationships with consultants and junior doctors around rota issues and developments.
