An exciting opportunity has arisen for an additional Ward Manager Band 7 position on the Surgical Assessment Unit.
You must have current or recent experience as a Band 6. Whilst working alongside an existing Ward Manager, you will be leading an established team and have overall day to day responsibility of the efficient and effective management of operational and professional issues to ensure high quality clinical care and patient experience.
The post requires staff with focus, enthusiasm, drive and commitment and an ability to work closely with the MDT within Surgery. The post provides an excellent career progression for aspiring senior nurses who are looking to develop their leadership and management skills and professional portfolio.
The successful candidate must have a proven ability in supervising, managing and controlling the activities of a unit in an effective and efficient manner.
You will be a clinical role model and have a willingness to contribute to the development of the team as well as your own professional growth.
You will have excellent communication skills and high clinical standards with a passion to make a difference for patients and staff alike.
You must have sufficient post registration experience and a surgical background is desirable.
