Do you have an interest in Women's health and do you strive to deliver  excellent patient care?

If so then this position is for you, we have a Band 5 vacancy that has come up within our gynaecology services. 

This role is to work on our inpatient gynaecology ward and our gynaecology assessment and treatment unit. You will be part of a wider team to assist the delivery of a high standard of patient care.

Main duties of the job

To be an accountable and professional registered adult nurse
To work within a team and to work on your own initiative when required 
To be able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care
To administer medication under prescription once completed competencies 
To monitor and escalate signs of deterioration 
To prepare and manage patients pre and post operatively 
To identify areas for quality improvement 
To escalate concerns in relation to patient care delivery when they fall below expected standards

Essential criteria

RGN Adult
Literacy & numeracy or equivalent (GCSE A – C)

Desirable criteria

Degree or willing to work towards degree
Mentorship qualification

Experience

Essential criteria

Experience of working in an acute healthcare environment
Evidence of continuing professional development.
Knowledge of current professional issues
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership skills.

Desirable criteria

Post qualification experience of working in an acute NHS Trust.
Experience working within a specialty
