An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Unscheduled Care Group for a Deputy Head of Nursing for the Emergency Centre.  Here at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust we are looking to recruit an inspiring and dynamic nurse leader. You will have extensive experience in acute or emergency nursing and be motivated and driven to deliver the highest level of quality of care and patient experience to those who use our services. You will need to be a strong collaborator, able to work across organisational boundaries with a passion for quality improvement and skilful in staff engagement.

This post is part of the Care Group leadership team and is to support the Head of Nursing for the Emergency Centre to provide leadership and strategic direction to the Care Group at both The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. The post holder will be pivotal to the delivery of high quality, safe, effective, harm free person-centred care consistent with the Trust values, using available resources effectively and efficiently, and supporting achievement of the Trust’s vision and strategic objectives.
To assist and deputise for the Head of Nursing in delivering professional and operational leadership of Nursing across the Emergency centre, including devising, implementing and reviewing strategies for the development of clinical practice, education, and management and quality issues.

The post holder will act as the delegated lead for the patient journey, patient experience, operational project work such as Same Day Emergency Care, department standard work and implementation of EPR across the Care Group.
