An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Support Coordinator (part time, 30 hours per week) to work within the Head & Neck and Ophthalmology Centre at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. The post is primarily based at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford however, the successful applicant may be required to cross-site work at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
The successful applicant will provide support to the Head & Neck and Ophthalmology coordinators and team. The post holder’s duties will include prioritisation and delegation of workload as directed by the Centre coordinators, to provide 18 week clock validation support to the coordinators and to prepare, type and distribute the information of reports as required to support the work of the Centre coordinators.
The role includes collating information and population of SQL/PTL reports used to monitor performance and manage demand and capacity for specialities within the Centre.
The position requires you to produce accurate work under pressure and be willing to undertake any training requirements that is felt necessary to the role. A minimum of 4 GCSE's at Grade C or above including Maths and English Language (or equivalent), along with experience of providing administrative services is essential. Working knowledge of using Microsoft Office applications, an understanding of data protection and maintaining strict confidentiality in the healthcare setting are all essential together with excellent organisational and communication skills, flexibility, good time management and the ability to work as part of a team.
Office experience within a healthcare setting would be desirable.
