We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Records Clerk to join our busy Clinical Governance Team. The post is temporary, for 3-4 months to cover a secondment, and provides the opportunity to gain experience in a friendly supportive team. 

Part of the role of The Clinical Governance department is to measure and monitor the quality of care and improve the patient experience.  This role will support the Clinical Governance Team by obtaining casenotes for clinical audit projects.  

We are looking for an individual who has experience of obtaining casenotes at either hospital site and is competent in the use of Microsoft Excel. Accuracy and attention to detail are important, along with the ability to file in numerical order.  

The role will involve interacting with a variety of people within the organisation, to obtain casenotes from different departments around the hospital, therefore you will need to be able to communicate well both face to face and over the telephone. 

We have two part time positions available, 1 position at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and 1 position at The Princess Royal Hospital created 1 Whole Time Equivalent.

The Princess Royal Post post involves regular travel to our off site notes storage facility at Queensway in Telford (once or twice a week). Therefore, applicants for this post must be able to drive, have a full clean driving license and have access to a suitably insured vehicle for this purpose.

Both posts are temporary until the end of March 2018, to cover a secondment. 

The Princess Royal Hospital post is 15 hours per week, to be worked over two days (preferably Tuesday and Friday). 

The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital post is 22.5 hours per week (to be worked Monday, Wednesday and Friday). 

Secondment or fixed term contract.

We offer a competitive salary £17,460 to £18,702 per annum/ pro rata, pension scheme and up to 27 days paid holiday pro-rata (plus bank holidays), as well as the opportunity to gain extensive experience in a busy team within the Hospital
