Due to a recent promotion an exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Postgraduate Medical Education team as a Foundation Co-ordinator.  

Working alongside the wider medical education team the successful candidate will provide an administrative service to the Foundation programme. The successful candidate  will be responsible for the co-ordination of the education and training programme for Foundation Doctors based within the Trust and wider community.  This is a varied role where no two days are the same and is suited to someone who is enthusiastic, innovative and well motivated.  The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to plan, organise and manage various blocks of work and meet competing demands.

The successful applicant must be educated to A level standard and meet the criteria as set out in the person specification or the role. 

The post holder will be based at Princess Royal Hospital but due to the nature of the role will be required to work at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital regularly. 

Main duties of the job

The Post Holder is responsible for the administration of all aspects of the education programme for Foundation Doctors throughout the Trust and in the community.
The Post Holder will provide support and co-ordinate and participate in the assessment and appraisal system for all Foundation doctors within the Trust and community providing support.
The post holder will provide administrative support to the Director of Medical Education (DME), Foundation Training Programme Director (FTPD), Medical Education Manager and Deputy Medial Education Manager(s).
Assist in the organisation and smooth running of other Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education activities (including departmental teaching sessions/GP Meetings/Dental Meetings)
