We are recruiting Cleanliness Technicians at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and are looking for individuals who share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients receive quality and compassionate care.

Our Cleanliness Team play an essential role in keeping patients, staff and visitors safe and are responsible for cleaning wards and departments across all of our hospital sites.

We have vacancies for –

30 hours per week with alternate weekend working 6.00 am – 12.00 pm

Actual Salary Range for 30 hours - £16,216 - £17,054.  On top of this we pay enhanced rates for Saturday, Sunday, Bank Holidays and evenings.**

20 hours per week with alternate weekend working 4.00 pm – 8.00 pm

Actual Salary Range for 20 hours - £10,743 - £11,299.  On top of this we pay enhanced rates for Saturday, Sunday, Bank Holidays and evenings.**

**(Hourly rate on entry £10.37 for Monday to Friday 6.00 am – 8.00 pm, £14.62 all day Saturday and weekdays 8.00 pm – 6.00 am and £18.98 all day Sunday and Bank Holidays)

NB: start and finish times can be flexible and agreed with successful candidates.

Main duties of the job

The key purpose of the role is to provide a high-quality comprehensive cleanliness service, working to exceptionally high documented cleaning standards within Wards and Departments in a Hospital setting. To encompass specialist cleaning duties.

You will work alongside all service users and ensure that approved documented cleaning standards and frequencies are always maintained. Being prepared to work in any area across the Trust site.

Main duties will include mopping, general cleaning/damp dusting, cleaning bathrooms and toilets, emptying bins, use of mechanical floor cleaning machines, vacuuming.
