The Estates Directorate are seeking a highly committed Store Person/Maintenance Assistant to join our busy Estates Department to participate in the maintenance of the hospital building services and equipment, to comply with the Trust policies and procedures and any relevant legislation. 

The role will consist of 75% stores duties and 25% Maintenance Assistant duties to meet the needs of the service.

You will assist the Estates Operations Managers and their Assistant Managers in the management of the Trust’s Estates, taking specific responsibility for all issues relating to the Estates department stores and the general provision of all consumable materials, equipment and spares.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to carry out routine maintenance and repairs of drains and sanitary ware, the removal and cleaning of radiators, minor electrical repairs and assist skilled trades persons in carrying out their work.  You will be proficient in the use of carpentry equipment and machinery.

You may be required to join the on call system.
