An excellent opportunity has arisen to become part of the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Team at The Shrewsbury & Telford Hospital NHS Trust. The post will commence in August 12 months initially and is based at the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford but there may be some travel required to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and peripheral clinics on occasions.

 

The post requires the ability to work under direct and indirect supervision in all aspects of the speciality. You will attend Gynaecological outpatients, Antenatal clinics, Day Surgery and major Inpatient lists along with Speciality Clinics and be part of the middle grade Tier 2, on-call cover for the Labour Ward Practice and Obstetric and Gynaecological Emergencies. You will be given ample opportunity and encouragement to develop your own Speciality interest. 

 

The Department has particular strength in Maternal and Fetal Medicine, Fertility, Endoscopic Surgery, Urogynaecology and Medical Education, and is recognised for its training ability in such Specialities. 

 

Shropshire is an area of outstanding natural beauty and offers extensive outdoor recreation facilities and easy access to North Wales and the Welsh coast. Housing standards are high in the county both in the town and country with good local state and private schools.
