Specialty Doctor in Palliative Care

 

Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Specialty Doctor to join our expanding Hospital Palliative Care team.  Full time and part time applications are welcome and the post is available as soon as an ideal candidate is found. 

Candidates for this role must have GMC registration, experience in Palliative Care and recent experience within the NHS.  Experience of working in an acute hospital setting is desirable but not essential.

This post would be ideal for a Specialty Doctor working at Registrar level, it would also suit a GP looking to work additional sessions within the Hospital.

 

Main Duties of the job

The role of this job is to support an early, proactive, Palliative Care review service with support to both hospital sites, The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH) and Princess Royal Hospital (PRH), Telford. To work with and support the Specialist Palliative Care CNS team. To support ward staff to deliver excellent Palliative and end of life care.

Other duties include to support the Palliative and end of life care education and development plan.

We are looking for a clinician with excellent communication skills with both patients and colleagues, experience of multidisciplinary working and a caring approach to work.
