We are delighted to offer a full time Band 6 Occupational Therapy position as part of our therapy inpatient medical team based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
Our inpatient medical team provides services across the following ward specialities: respiratory, cardiology, endocrine, surgery, oncology, care of the elderly, renal, supported discharge, gastroenterology and orthopaedics. The medical team also have dedicated therapists working in the areas of critical care and frailty at the front door and there will be occasions where post holders may be asked to in reach into these areas.
Successful candidates will need to have had acute inpatient experience across a range of rotations as a Band 5 and experience of being a student practice educator is desirable.
Developing and utilising leadership skills will be a key attribute of this role as successful candidates will be required to supervise and mentor Band 5 and assistant therapists and students. Post holders will also play a key role in contributing to service development whilst receiving supervision and mentorship from our Band 7 Highly Specialist Occupational Therapy clinicians.
