An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified therapy radiographer with experience in Radiotherapy patient review to join our department. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the small team of review radiographers and be responsible for the review of radiotherapy patients whilst they are receiving radiotherapy. They will also be expected to maintain their clinical competencies and participate in extended hours, on-call and Bank Holiday working as required.
The department consists of 3 Varian True-beam Linear Accelerators, a Gulmay Unit and a Toshiba wide bore CT scanner with radiographer-led palliative virtual simulation using Eclipse.
During the last 4 years we have implemented IGRT, Rapidarc, 4dCT and DIBH; and further technical developments are planned for introduction in the near future.
We actively encourage role development and offer a supportive, collaborative working environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated person who would be committed to helping us continually improve the service that we offer our patients in Shropshire and Mid Wales. All staff have the opportunity to work flexible hours; full-time posts work 37.5 hours over four long days with a rolling day off.
Time away from work is just as important and Shropshire is a beautiful, mostly rural county where we enjoy a high quality of life. If you would like to become part of our dedicated caring team we would like to meet you.
