We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced dietitian with relevant oncology skills to join our Trust on Bank to be able to fulfil part time hours within our team.

Multidisciplinary team working is proactive in these areas and you will need to be a key player in differing teams and MDT clinics.

The post holder will be part of the Macmillan Integrated Therapy Service (MITS) team, based at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital working closely alongside Dietitians, SLT’s, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists; supported by cross profession Assistant Practitioners.

Although the post is based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital remote working would be considered.

Main duties of the job

The post holder would work alongside an experienced team of dietitians and Assistant Practitioners as part of the Macmillan Therapy team providing expert knowledge and skills. 

To drive service improvement and to provide education and support as needed.

To support CPD activities and to have students as required

Shropshire is a lovely rural county in the West Midlands with a lower than average population.  The county has mainly market towns with a more urban area surrounding Telford.  

The dietetic service covers inpatients across both sites, outpatients and community with speciality services in Oncology, Renal, Paediatrics including Diabetes service and Bariatrics.

We hold regular CPD sessions and encourage self development..  There are regular meetings with the team co-ordinator and have a head of profession for dietetics 

We take Students from Coventry University
