If the answer is "YES" then maybe this post could be perfect for you.  We wish to offer people like yourself the opportunity to train in a specialised laboratory, to gain the relevant experience, verifiable CPD points, and the ability to become GDC registered; in turn you will become part of our dynamic team.   

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Dental Technician to work in a multi-disciplined team across our 2 sites.  The modern fully equipped laboratories offer 3D surgical planning and printing,   comprehensive clinical photography and full technical and clinical service to the trust and external users.

The successful applicant will have good knowledge of a wide range of specialised equipment and machinery. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and to meet agreed deadlines is essential.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will mainly produce routine Orthodontic appliances and occasionally be required to produce restorative / prosthetic  appliances for the Trust and all laboratory income generation services.  You will also provide technical / clinical support and cover in the absence of the Associate Dental Technician.

The post holder will also take clinical photographs using digital photographic equipment of all departmental patients, archive and categorise all images for patient records and audit purposes, training will be provided.

We are a diverse and dynamic team, with a large skill mix.  Compiled of a Maxillofacial Prosthetist, Specialist Orthodontic Technician, Lead Restorative Technician / Maxillofacial Prosthetic Assistant, 3 x Dental Technicians, Associate Dental Technician and Laboratory Administrator.  

As a Department we have managed to build an excellent rapport with a number of users, within the trust and externally.  We provide work to many other trusts, and ensure we are developing ideas and growing the service we provide.  It is important  the successful candidate has the enthusiasm to help develop the laboratories further.
