An open day to showcase working within Surgical, Orthopaedic, Critical Care, Theatres, Oncology and Haematology areas for healthcare professionals at Shropshire’s two acute hospitals will take place on Saturday November 7th 10am-3pm.
The day will give healthcare professionals who are interested in working at SATH a chance to discuss the individual specialty areas above, take a tour of the hospital and look around our theatre department.
Registered Nurses or Operating department Practitioners will be able to complete an application form prior to the event or on the day, undergo assessments, have an interview and if successful they could even leave the event with a conditional offer.
The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) will hold the Open Day in the Treatment Centre at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH) on Saturday November 7th 2015, opening at 10am until 3pm.
The day is an excellent opportunity to learn more about what the Trust has to offer by meeting members of the Scheduled Care Management team, the Senior Nursing Team including Matrons and Ward Managers and members of our Educational Support teams.
Sarah Bloomfield, Director of Nursing and Quality at SaTH, said: “Our Open Day is an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals to find out more about our hospitals and how the Trust is a great place to work.
“We’re looking for new recruits to display the caring and compassionate qualities we rightly require to provide the highest standard of care possible for our patients.
“We are very keen to encourage applications from Registered Nurses in community settings, including Care Homes and GP Practices, who wish to come back into the acute hospital setting, and from Student Nurses due to qualify in the next six months.”
Opportunities are available in a number of services and wards including the Surgical Assessment Unit, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Oncology and Haematology, Theatres and ITU/HDU.
The Trust’s catchment stretches from the Cambrian Mountains in the west to Newport and the fringes of the Black Country in the east.
