“It’s busy but not mad. I get to spend time with my patients so the quality of care is high.”
The Shropshire and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) is a lovely place to live and work. Whilst our hospitals like any other NHS Trust are busy, they are not mad busy like a city centre Trust. This means our time per patient is much greater, increasing the quality of care we provide. We are also one of the largest employers in the county with over 5000 people employed throughout the catchment area.
Shropshire is Britain’s biggest inland counties and as such there is incredible diversity within the area. However many people from the UK haven’t even heard of it when we first start to talk to them.
Shropshire is a great mixture between beautiful countryside and bustling towns such as Telford meaning you get the best of both worlds with great access to major high street shops as well as the great countryside. Being based in the midlands means we are accessible to most of the UK. Cities such as Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool are only a short train ride away.
Shrewsbury was named the best place to live this year and has a wide range of independent and quirky café’s and bars, and surrounding areas such as Ludlow and Ironbridge are steeped in history.
