We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the team within our Nephrology Ward.
The post provides excellent career development for Band 5 Nurses who are looking to strengthen their experience in an Acute setting.
Ward 28N is a 34 bedded ward that provides acute nephrology care to complex patients. Our integrated multi-disciplinary team work together to provide high quality care and a high quality service to improve patient outcome and experience.
We will give you the opportunity to gain essential skills required on an acute nephrology ward as well as the specialist knowledge you will need to succeed.
A supernumerary period will be given to all new starters whether newly qualified or returning to practice. During this period you will spend time in the Haemodialysis Unit and with the Home Therapies team, on Ward 28N.
Following a settling in period, you will also undertake Peritoneal Dialysis training for one week with the Home Therapies team, which will enable you to care for peritoneal dialysis patients on the ward. We will offer you opportunities to develop in a supportive learning environment and a preceptorship programme to enhance your development.
You will have excellent consultant support along with our exceptional ward leaders who will be there to guide and support you every step of the way.
