An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered General Nurse to join the Corporate Professional Development Nursing team, to support the education, training and skills acquisition of nursing students, Trainee Nursing Associates and Registered Nursing across the organisation.

Main duties of the job

Key aspects of the role will be to work with Clinical Placement Facilitators in supporting students in clinical placement to facilitate a positive quality learning experience . To assist and advise Trust staff in their roles as Practice Supervisor and Practice  Assessor.

The role also supports the Clinical Practice Educators to deliver and facilitate training and education to health care staff in a range of clinical and class room settings.

You will have a regular visible presence in wards and departments . You need an understanding of the challenges that staff , students and learners have clinical practice  and placement so the development  of  positive and constructive relationships a with staff and managers is critical to the success of the role.

The Clinical Practice Facilitator and Educators Teams are small and friendly, made up of both Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants. They are passionate about ensuring health care staff and students receive the best experience of professional development whilst working for the Trust, and work together to achieve this.

High level clinical skills and knowledge
Evidence of successfully co-ordinating, managing and leading the team on a day to day basis.
Experience in undertaking preceptor/mentor role.

Involvement in Nursing audit and Research.
An awareness and understanding of policy and practice relevant to speciality.

Evidence of excellent communication skills including verbal, non verbal and written
Microsoft office PC and Sema Pas skills
