We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to lead the Lung Cancer Clinical Nursing Team within The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.
The successful candidate will be the Lead Nurse for the Lung Cancer Department ensuring effective clinical leadership and support with the implementation of the Lung Cancer Optimal Pathway Improvement plan developed. You will work closely with the Operational Manager and Clinical Lead for Lung Cancer to drive forward strategy and an ambitious programme for service improvement and sustained delivery of key local and national cancer performance standards.
You will work as an autonomous practitioner within the service. You will have completed an Advanced Health Assessment qualification and have completed the Independent Non-Medical Prescribing qualification. You will be able to manage your own workload, have advanced decision making skills, be able to demonstrate continuing professional development and be committed to innovative practice.
You must have current NHS experience with a strong focus on delivery and a desire for success. You should have the skills to prioritise workload, in a fast paced environment, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and motivate others effectively.

You will be based at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford but will be required to work cross site at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
