We are seeking to recruit for a 12 Month secondment opportunity with the possibility of extending to 24 Months, an enthusiastic, confident motivated and hard working individual nurse to join our Infection Prevention and Control Team.
You should have significant experience at senior band 5 or above. You should have experience of managing and dealing with infection prevention and control issues, participating in auditing and have experience of supporting change management. Evidence of working at or towards degree level is essential and an interest in developing enhancing practice. You must be able to work and adapt to the challenges presented, working within the friendly supportive team.
You will be expected to have the ability to work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team.
The role will involve teaching and training staff at all levels (support will be provided initially). Ability to make decisions, work well within a team as well as being able to work independently is essential. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to work flexibly and be committed to meeting deadlines and targets. You must display a passion for high quality care, patient focused care and have the organisational ability to build on an already winning team.
The nurse will be expected to cross site work which will include traveling to both The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.
