We are looking for an enthusiastic HR Advisor to join our talented team in the delivery of a professional comprehensive and responsive HR advisory service.

This post if a fixed term contract for 12 months covering a secondment.

As a HR Advisor you will work closely with the HR Advisory Team Manager and Senior HR Advisors to provide a customer-focused and professional HR service. You will be a key point of contact providing responsive and proactive advice to managers and staff. You will support and advise on a wide range of issues including interpretation of a range of policies including sickness absence management, disciplinary, grievance, dignity at work, change management and terms and conditions of employment.

You will actively develop skills and competencies of managers. You will also be expected to contribute towards the improvement of policy, guidance and our intranet site.

This is an exciting role with a broad scope of responsibility so we are looking for an individual who will work well as part of the team to achieve results and also use your own initiative.

Ideally, you will be fully CIPD qualified or working towards your qualification. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to influence and negotiate, as well as being a good team player. It would be an advantage to have previous experience within the NHS and an understanding of NHS terms and conditions although this is not essential. You will require knowledge of employment law and be able to work in a busy, fast paced environment.

This post involves cross site working therefore the ability to travel independently is essential, as we are a multi-site organisation and there is frequent travel required between sites for which public transport is not easily available.

This is a full time post but we may consider part time working
