We are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor with experience of delivering training to join our established team.
The post holder will take an active role in delivering the annual H&S in-house training programme, undertake inspections and audits, undertake practical tasks such as FFP3 mask fit-testing, monitor and review H&S performance, investigate incident reports and be a source of advice and support on H&S matters to Trust line managers and staff - including our in-house Estates Operational/Capital Teams.
The successful candidate will hold at a minimum, the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent plus a Level 3 adult teaching/training qualification such as the City and Guilds 6502 or Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent.
You will also need to demonstrate that you hold Technical Membership of IOSH (TechIOSH status) and be able to demonstrate active participation in Continuing Professional Development.
The post-holder will have experience in adult teaching/learning and in advisory work within a diverse and complex organisation. You may be required to travel cross site to The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
You must be IT literate and numerate and be capable of reporting on trends in incident reporting, inspections and audits.
