Job overview

We are looking for an administration assistant who works well in a team but can also carry out work on their own. The role is to support the Therapy team of Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists and support workers who work within the inpatient teams as well as the Early supported discharge team for patients following a stroke to deliver their work with patients. This is not a patient facing role but interactions with patients and relatives may occur when taking messages or contacting people back after they have raised a question with the team.

Along with your 4 GCSE's at Grades 9 - 4 (or equivalent), you should have previous experience of working in an administrative role within a healthcare setting. You should also have sound knowledge of software programmes such as Microsoft Office.

Main duties of the job

You will be accountable to the personal assistant to the Therapy Centre Manager and Inpatient Manager and will support the management team with tasks such as managing rota systems and electronic rosters. General administration tasks such as stock management, typing up meeting notes, maintaining notice boards, setting up meetings, booking rooms etc. will be part of your daily role.
