An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for the post of Chargehand Porter.
The successful candidate will need to have experience of supervision within a large team and the drive and commitment to support the management team.
They will also have the drive and enthusiasm to support a patient centered approach to delivering the day to day running of the Portering Services. The successful candidate must have good communication and people skills, be able to develop and maintain positive relationships within complex team and provide the very best care for our Patients.
Main duties of the job
The Chargehand Porter is one of a team providing a wide range of services created by the demands of the hospital, which involves the movement of Patients, the delivery of clinical and non-clinical support to provide the very best patient care.
The Supervision of the movement of general and clinical waste, office furniture, mail and patient supplies on and off the hospital site.
The post also involves the supervision of the general porters, the allocation of duties through technology. The post holder will ensure that the Portering service is of the highest quality and efficiency and will work within Trust Values.
