If so, we would like to welcome you to join our friendly, supportive, Gastroenterology team of 9 consultants. We are looking for a Consultant to join our expanding Department supporting 520,000 people in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid-Wales. 

We require two enthusiastic Gastroenterologists, one with a Specialist Interest in Bowel Screening and colonic EMR and one with a Specialist Interest in ERCP. For the Bowel screening post, we will support you in developing accreditation if you do not already have it and, for the ERCP post, we will support you in developing EUS skills should you wish this. We are looking forward to exciting changes with increasing investment in response to the Future Fit decision concerning the Counties care provision. 

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust provides District General Hospital clinical services to the population of Shropshire and mid-Wales with a dedicated Cancer and Haematology Centre at Shrewsbury. There has been centralisation of specialties such as Surgery, Stroke and Cardiac as well as Interventional Radiology to improve services and we anticipate further centralisation as our future-fit programme continues

You will not be part of the Acute Medical take but will support the out of hours Gastroenterology Rota. 

Both posts are for 11 Programmed Activities per week.
