We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed team member, with values of empathy, respect and who is proud to care about the wellbeing of others to join our growing Stroke and Rehabilitation Physiotherapy Team as a Therapy Support Worker at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.

The post is full time (37.5 hours) with usual working days being Monday to Friday and with a requirement to join a rota to facilitate patient progression and discharge at weekends.

This is an exciting opportunity to learn new skills with a team of friendly and dedicated therapists who strive to provide the best possible care to patients who have had a stroke or other neurological disorder. You will work under supervision from the therapists, assisting them in patient treatments whilst also delivering some therapy programmes on your own.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, has excellent organisational and time management skills, enjoys working in a team and is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care.

The Therapy department are working towards being at the forefront of innovation in leading the way by undertaking development and service evaluation utilising the Virginia Mason Institute (VMI) methodology in Lean practices. The Trust is one of only 5 Trusts in England to be affiliated with the VMI based in Seattle, USA. We are delighted to be able to offer patients the opportunity of assessment by the Therapy team for discharge over the weekend and bank Holidays and this post holder would be expected to participate in the weekend working rota.
