We are delighted to be able to seek maternity cover for 12 months for the role of Inpatient Therapy Operational Manager based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital covering 18.75 hours per week working full days Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
This is a new and innovative AHP leadership role introduced in Autumn 2018 and has a key focus on the day to day service delivery of inpatient Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy across the acute wards including the Emergency Department. The role will link in with the capacity team, the interdisciplinary discharge team, ward teams and therapy staff.
You will be supported by team leaders (coordinators) as well as clinical staff across bands 2 through to 7. You will be required to attend meetings at either Shrewsbury or Telford Hospital sites and work as a job share partner at the Shrewsbury site.
The role does not have any clinical elements within the job plan however opportunities for clinical sessions can be discussed with the right candidate at interview.
Dependent on your profession you will be professionally accountable to the Head of Physiotherapy or Head of Occupational Therapy however you will be line managed by the Inpatient Therapy manager and Head of Physiotherapy.

Inpatient Therapies run services across all seven days of the week and the successful candidate will be expected to support Bank Holiday and weekend working on an ad hoc basis.
