Are you a soon to be/newly qualified or experienced Occupational Therapist looking to work within a supportive, friendly and enthusiastic therapy team delivering Occupational Therapy across a wide variety of rotations? We are delighted to offer therapy services across 7 days to patients and successful candidates will also join our weekend rota’s.

We also offer specialist Occupational Therapy services including hand therapy, critical care and as part of the Macmillan integrated therapy team and welcome our band 5 OTs to have the opportunity to spend time with these teams and we aspire to deliver more band 5 rotational opportunities across specialist services in the near future. 

 Main duties of the job

  • To assess, diagnose/interpret and manage own caseload of complex patients as an autonomous practitioner in accordance with Professional Code of Conduct and Health and Care Professions Council Regulations.

With excellent transport links our staff commute from across Shropshire, Telford, the Midlands, mid Wales, Staffordshire, Cheshire and Herefordshire to work with us as part of a strong team of 250 therapy employees across our hospital sites. 

Current band 5 OT rotations include inpatient medicine offering different rotations across a variety of specialities including cardiology, respiratory and care of the elderly. Orthopaedics and Surgery which includes general surgery and amputees. Therapy at the front door covering A&E and AMU and our Stroke rotation includes hyper-acute and acute stroke rehabilitation services.

We pride ourselves on offering band 5s an excellent supervision and training and development package including mentorship from a member of our specialist or highly specialist OT team, weekly training and development opportunities both OT specific and in collaboration with the therapy colleagues and the wider MDT.
