The Therapy Centre are delighted to of recently secured funding to uplift therapy staffing levels within critical care at both the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and the Princess Royal Hospital Telford. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated advanced physiotherapist to join the MDT team working in critical care at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. You will also provide support and service development to your critical care colleagues at the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.

You will lead on the Physiotherapy input and service development within critical care and support your therapy colleagues throughout the Trust for advise and support following patient transfers in to the general bed base.  The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the coordinators for Inpatients to deliver and coordinate the emergency on call rota and be an active member of the out of hours on call rota.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, has good management and leadership skills, works well independently and in a team. We have strong links with our multidisciplinary team colleagues and joint working is key to our practise.

The Therapy Department are working towards being at the forefront of innovation in leading the way by undertaking development and service evaluation utilising the Virginia Mason Institute (VMI) methodology in Lean practice as the Trust is one of the only five Trusts in England to be affiliated with the VMI based in Seattle, USA
